The annual meeting of the Arab Network for Human Rights Film Festivals (ANHAR)

The annual meeting of ANHAR was held in Amman on the 9th and 8th of December, within the activities of the Karama Human Rights Film Festival, which took place in its 9th edition from the 5th till 10th of December 2018. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Karama Festival and Ma3mal 612 Think Factory (Jordan), La Maison des Cineastes and Karama Mauritania (Mauritania), Ma3mal 961 Art Factory and Karama Beirut (Lebanon), Bidayyat for audiovisual Arts (Syria), Yemen will Triumph organization and Karama Yemen Festival (Yemen) The Sudan film factory and the Sudan Independent Film Festival (Sudan) ACTIF foundation and Human screen festival – Karama Tunis (Tunisia).

The members discussed the most important achievements of the network in its fourth year, the challenges facing the members of the network in their own countries, members also discussed the strategy and plan of action of the network through events to establish a link between the activists, film-makers and festival directors with the aim of building bridges through joint activities, production and joint advocacy campaigns, and to enhance the quality of the initiatives of members and their impact.
