Actif – Tunisie Anhar: Screenings at the beach

In celebration of World Environment Day, Actif Association organized screenings on the sea shore focusing on climate and environmental issues on the 18th and 19th of June, 2022. This activity is part of other activities organized by local civil society actors within the framework of the Environment Festival “One Earth” organized by COSPE – Tunis Office in partnership with the municipalities of Rejeish and Mahdia, which emphasizes a sustainable lifestyle in harmony with nature.

Three documentaries were screened on the beach of Mahdia in the presence of the directors, all of which deal with environmental issues, especially in the city of Kerkennah and Gabes. The film “Fuel Fishing” directed by Fathia Khedir and Mabrouka Khedir, “Leave Yamlikha Alone” by Jihed Ben Slimen, and ” Is everything ok Lella?!” directed by Rabeb Al Mbarki. The screenings were followed by a discussion panel with the directors and the audience about their films emphasizing the role and responsibility of civil society and the media in advocating environmental issues and demanding the right to live in a healthy environment.
