Preparations Continue for the Production of Six Short Films Documenting Human Stories from Gaza

Amman – Preparations are underway to produce six short films documenting powerful human stories from Gaza, as part of an artistic and media project aimed at conveying the experiences of Palestinian journalists and shedding light on their reality during the war.

The project is implemented by Ma3mal 612 Think Factory as part of broader efforts to promote press freedom and protect journalists in conflict zones.

Current activities focus on script development, collecting visual materials, and conducting interviews with journalists and their families, alongside artistic supervision sessions to ensure the production of content that reflects the human and professional dimensions of these stories while adhering to ethical documentation standards.

The project aims to produce six short films ranging from three to five minutes each, documenting real stories of journalists from Gaza, including those who were killed, detained, or continue to work under extremely dangerous conditions.

The films are expected to be screened through media campaigns and film and human rights festivals to help bring these stories to wider audiences and raise awareness about freedom of the press and journalist safety.

This project comes amid the growing need to document human stories related to war and preserve them as part of contemporary collective memory, especially in light of the severe challenges faced by journalists in Gaza.
