Six Short Films Completed Through : Unfinished Stories from Gaza – Real Proof
Ma3mal 612 Think Factory has completed “Unfinished Stories from Gaza – Real Proof,” a film and media project documenting the experiences of Palestinian journalists from Gaza and their role in reporting the truth during the war.
The project used short-form filmmaking to transform journalists’ testimonies and personal experiences into six short films addressing the human and professional realities of reporting from conflict zones.
A closing event brought together journalism students, journalists, media professionals, filmmakers, and human rights advocates for a screening of the completed films, followed by a discussion about visual documentation, collective memory, risks facing journalists, and cinema’s role in documenting violations.
Filmmakers Sawsan Darwaza and Ihab Al-Khatib presented the production process, including story development, testimony and visual material collection, and the transformation of journalistic experiences into short films.
The project was implemented with the support of Free Press Unlimited and in cooperation with ANHAR – Arab Network for Human Rights Films.
