Academic Cooperation Between Ma3mal 612 Think Factory and University of Petra
As part of strengthening awareness and educational activities within universities, Ma3mal 612 Think Factory, in cooperation with Karama Syria and Karama Human Rights Film Festival, participated in a preparatory meeting with the University of Petra on May 10, 2026.
The meeting focused on developing film studies curricula and integrating concepts of human rights and democracy into academic pathways.
Discussions addressed mechanisms for incorporating human rights perspectives and critical thinking into graduation projects and evaluation standards for cinema students, helping expand film education as a space for social dialogue and critical reflection.
The partners also agreed to expand cooperation through a plan to screen the film Identities, produced by Ma3mal 612 Think Factory, at the university’s cinema department during June, accompanied by a discussion session involving students and faculty members to strengthen the connection between cinema, human rights practice, and critical education.
