The Anhar Network’s quarterly meeting was held virtually, on the 25th of June, 2022, with the participation of most of the network’s members from several countries including Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia, Egypt, and Jordan. The members discussed all the agenda points, which included submitting new joint proposals and activities to be implemented during the next ten months.
All members agreed upon the aim of planning and cooperating in the establishment of joint events, advocacy screenings, or discussions. Reciprocal field visits to be organized between festivals were suggested, as well as topics for the production of human rights short films, (infographic films) in addition to proposals for interviews via Zoom or Facebook. During the meeting, the members demonstrated their previous activities and achievements, their readiness for future projects, and shared the difficulties and challenges they face. They also identified their needs and suggested ideas on all the points mentioned in the agenda, and set general recommendations that could be implemented to enhance networking practices between ANHAR members and other festivals.
