ANHAR Annual Meeting – June 2025
Preparations are underway for the Annual Meeting of the Arab Network for Human Rights Films (ANHAR), scheduled to take place on June 14, 2025, bringing together network members to address several pressing topics:
- Discussion of recent developments in member countries that have led to the postponement of various activities, including festivals, panel discussions, and training workshops.
- Review of the current status and challenges facing Karama Palestine, Karama Yemen, and the Sudan Independent Film Festival, with a focus on the obstacles hindering their operations.
- Examination of funding conditions and the broader economic challenges affecting all members, and how these impact their ability to implement future plans, particularly in light of the evolving landscape of financing and production in the Arab region.
- Presentation of proposed solutions and strategic recommendations for the network’s operations, including contingency planning and turning challenges into opportunities for growth and collaboration.
